Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
1. Overview
PressNative is operated by Anthony Lipscomb ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to respecting your privacy and being transparent about what data we do — and do not — collect. The short version: we collect very little, and we do not use cookies.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We want to be clear about what we do not do:
- We do not collect, store, or process any personal information from visitors to our website
- We do not use cookies of any kind (first-party or third-party)
- We do not use tracking pixels, browser fingerprinting, or any other mechanism to identify or track individual visitors
- We do not sell, rent, or share any visitor data with third parties
- We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, or any other personally identifiable information through the website
3. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on our website to understand general traffic patterns. Google Analytics is configured without cookie-based tracking and collects only anonymous, aggregate usage data such as:
- Page views and general traffic patterns
- Approximate geographic region (country/city level)
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- Referral sources (how you arrived at the site)
This data is processed by Google and is not linked to any individual visitor. We cannot identify you from this data. For more information on how Google handles analytics data, see Google's Privacy Policy.
4. Cookies
This website does not set or use cookies. Google Analytics is configured to operate without cookies. Because no cookies are used, no cookie consent banner is required.
5. Third-Party Services
Our mobile apps use Google Firebase (Cloud Messaging for push notifications, Analytics for app usage, and Crashlytics for crash reports). Beyond that and Google Analytics on this website (described above), we do not embed third-party trackers, advertising networks, social media widgets, or any other third-party scripts that collect visitor data on our website.
6. Customer Data (For PressNative Subscribers)
If you are a PressNative subscriber using our service to power your mobile app, the following applies:
- Account information: When you create an account or subscribe, we collect the information you provide (such as your email address and payment details via Stripe). Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe; we do not store your credit card information.
- WordPress data: The data exchanged between your WordPress site and the PressNative registry (such as post content, site branding, and push notification tokens) is processed solely to provide the Service.
- No selling of data: We do not sell, share, rent, or use customer data for any purpose other than delivering the PressNative service.
- Data retention: If you cancel your subscription, your configuration data will be deleted from our systems within 30 days. Your WordPress content remains on your own server.
7. Mobile Apps (PressNative Hub and branded apps)
The PressNative Hub app and apps built for individual sites do not require an account and do not show ads. They collect only what is needed to show content and deliver notifications:
- Install identifier: a random ID created when the app is installed. It is not linked to your name, email, or device hardware, and a new one is created if you reinstall.
- Notification data: if you follow a site or allow notifications, we store a push token issued by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (and Apple Push Notification service on iPhone), the sites you follow, and your notification preferences, so we can send you new-post alerts. Unfollowing a site or turning notifications off removes that subscription.
- Content views: when the app loads a post, page, or product we record which item was viewed, the install identifier, and the platform (iOS or Android). Site owners see this only as aggregate counts.
- Reports: if you report a site, we store the reason, any details you type, and the install identifier so our team can review it.
- Usage and diagnostics: Google Firebase Analytics records app events (screens opened, app version, device model, operating system, approximate country) with an app-instance ID, and Firebase Crashlytics sends crash reports (stack trace, device model, OS version). We use these only to understand and fix the app, never for advertising.
- On your device only: your favorites, muted and blocked sites, and cached content stay on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app.
The apps do not access your location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifier, and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Content inside the app comes from the WordPress sites you open; when you open a site's own pages or checkout, that site's privacy policy applies.
To delete the server-side data for your install, email anthony@pressnative.app, or uninstall the app; push subscriptions for uninstalled apps are removed automatically when they expire.
8. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect any data processed through our Service, including using encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Rights
Since we do not collect personal data from website visitors, there is generally no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete. If you are a PressNative subscriber, you may:
- Request a copy of any account data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Cancel your subscription at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at anthony@pressnative.app.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the website or Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
